After more than twenty years of participation in solar car competition our Chairman David Fewchuk called for the development of a new type of truly zero emissions vehicle using Australian technology. He envisioned a road legal solar-electric car capable of surviving Australia’s Outback in a possible future without fossil fuels.
Monash University Industrial Design student Ali Jafari completed the first design concept during a cooperative educational program with us. Ali went on to become a VACC Designer of the Year and our Lead Designer.
Swinburne University Product Design Engineering students David Zhao and Alice Ho joined Ali Jafari to progress our concept, making multiple and significant improvements.
